Gladis named Columbiana police chief

COLUMBIANA — City Manager Keith Chamberlin said Wednesday that council has hired Tim Gladis as the city’s new police chief.

He will start the job on July 17 and be paid $66,457 a year. He is residing in Hermitage, Pa.

Gladis formerly was the chief of police in Brookfield Township in Trumbull County and formerly director of the Trumbull County 911 program.

He’s been working at an architectural and engineering firm in Sharon.

Gladis was the top selection after a long evaluation, Chamberlin said.

Chamberlin said he did not know Gladis’s age, saying he was not allowed to ask him.
