LOWELLVILLE — Bedford Trails Golf Course has been chosen by Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League for its six annual golf outing on Saturday.
Proceeds from the event will help to defray the medical expenses of Tom Driscoll, who was seriously injured in an auto accident on Jan. 25 and is being treated at Hillside Hospital for severe brain trauma.
Driscoll and his wife, Mary Therese, have been married 25 years and are the parents of 14 children.
The outing will be in the form of a scramble with golfers teeing off at an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $75 for each player on four-person teams. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, breakfast, lunch and a steak dinner.
There will be several hole prizes, pitching games, a 50-50 raffle, a Chinese auction and other events throughout the day.
The outing is limited to the first 38 registered teams. For more information about sponsoring a hole, donating items for the Chinese auction or registering to golf, contact Yvonne Ford at (330) 718-2013, or Linda Crish, (330) 727-9321.
