CANFIELD
June 20
Drug abuse: An 18-year-old Canfield man was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at North Broad Street and the cemetery after police found suspected marijuana on him.
Attempted break-in: A home on Barnstone Lane had screens in the back of the house damaged.
June 30
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 41-year-old North Jackson man at East Main Street and Cardinal Towers for possession of suspected marijuana.
July 1
Burglary: A 40-inch LCD TV, a computer printer, copier and scanner, a 19-inch flat-panel monitor and a VCR were reported stolen from a home on Alabaster Avenue.

June 29
Theft: A stolen chain was located at Austintown Pawn, 3700 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A Paisley Street man reported that a woman made several withdrawals totaling $900 from his bank account after somehow obtaining his PIN number.
Trespassing: A man reported four other men were seen on his property in the 1000 block of North Turner Road and were loading a gas water heater onto a truck before police were called and they were stopped. The structure is condemned because of a fire, which is under investigation.
Theft: Numerous items were stolen from a vehicle that was broken into in the parking lot in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A Sheetz card was stolen, and unauthorized charges were made on it at Boak and Sons, 75 Victoria Road.
Burglary: A Craftsman 21-inch snow thrower was stolen from a garage at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $10 bill was passed at IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Suboxone pills were taken at ITT Tech, 1030 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: A Fender guitar was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.
June 30
Identity theft: A resident of the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive reported to police that a Dominion gas account and a Capital One credit- card account were fraudulently opened in his name. The Dominion account had a $552.74 balance, and the Capital One account a $500 balance.
Recovered property: A 26-inch Roadmaster bicycle was recovered on a sidewalk at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A window and siding were damaged at a home in the 6000 block of Irene Street.
Theft: A man and a woman were arrested for theft and child endangering at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man is a suspect in theft from an auto at a home in the 300 block Lake Road.
July 1
Breaking and entering: A man was arrested for breaking and entering at J.C. Penney Co., 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Breaking and entering: There was no forced entry in a break-in at Green Leaf, 1430 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Felonious assault: A 13-year-old boy is accused of striking an 11-year-old boy twice with a baseball bat at Woodside Elementary School, 4105 Elmwood Ave.
Fraud: A resident of the 5000 block of Winslow Drive told police a charge of $310 was made on his debit card by someone out-of-state. The account has been closed.
Theft: A 2001 Wabash tractor trailer was stolen from the Rebel Truck lot, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.
Criminal damaging: Two “Private Parking” signs were damaged at Crestwood Center, 25 Canfield-Niles Road.
Telephone harassment: Unwanted phone calls were reported at Greenwood Chevrolet, 4695 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man was issued a summons for theft at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A man reported he had a visitor at Westgate Motel,4493 Mahoning Ave., and later discovered two checks missing from his checkbook. He put a stop-payment order on both checks, but one check already had been electronically processed.
Receiving stolen property: A man was arrested for receiving stolen property, a 1993 Ford F-250 at Mahoning Avenue at Four Mile Run Road.
July 2
Theft: Two men took money from another man at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: A woman reported a purse was taken from her vehicle in a parking lot at 850 N. Meridian Road. Missing are an iPod, an Ohio driver’s license, a bank card, a Social Security card, keys, medication and makeup.
Assault: A man was assaulted by five males while walking in a parking lot at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Items were taken from a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard by a former tenant.
Burglary: Tools were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $50 bill was passed at the BP gas station, 5502 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Clothing was taken by a female at Rainbow, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Misuse of credit card: A man was arrested for misuse of a credit card at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
July 3
Drug offense: Charges are pending after police found marijuana at an apartment in the 1000 block of Paisley Street.
Theft: A purse was stolen at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Money was stolen from the office at Dairy Queen, 5511 Silica Road.
Criminal damaging: A garage was spray-painted in the 3000 block of Elmwood Avenue.
Telephone harassment: A man made harassing phone calls at an apartment in the 1000 block of Paisley Street.
Breaking and entering: Shrubs were stolen at Green Leaf, 1430 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Attempted theft: A man was caught after a foot pursuit for attempted theft from an auto at Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: $40.03 in fuel was stolen at Uni-Mart, 5502 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse was taken from a home in the 3000 block of Almerinda Drive.
