Thorpes mark 60th anniversary of their marriage

McDONALD — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Thorpe, 222 Pennsylvania Ave., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 11.

She is the former Jane Ferraro.

Mr. Thorpe retired from Conrail as a freight conductor in 1987 after 321‚Ñ2 years of service. Mrs. Thorpe retired from Packard Electric in 1988 after 16 years.

The Thorpes have a son, Donald (Joyce) Thorpe of Berlin Center, and a daughter, Kim (Dennis) Olson of McDonald, who also celebrated their 26th anniversary on the same date.

The couple also have two granddaughters, Amy (Curt) Hess, and Nicole (Jeremy) Bartlett; two grandsons, Ian and Jake Olson; and three great-granddaughters, Madelyn, Gracie and Molly Hess.
