Red Cross chapters schedule wine tasting

VIENNA — The Mahoning, Trumbull and Mercer county chapters of the American Red Cross will host the first Passion for Red, a wine tasting benefit for the Red Cross, on Aug. 7 at Squaw Creek Country Club.

Tickets are $50 and include the sampling of wines from several popular wineries, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, a chance auction, and a raffle.

Tickets will also be sold for $20 for a raffle and ticket holders (who need not be present to win) will have an opportunity to win three times. The first prize is a trip to Napa Valley in California, courtesy of Superior Beverage and Air Tran Airways; second prize is a fully stocked Ethan Allen wine cabinet; and third prize is a basket containing gift certificates to favorite places in the valley.
