Church Hill Park Summer Day Camp has been a fixture in Liberty Township since 1956. Rosie Rokus Boehlke, program director, is a drama teacher with Trumbull County Educational Service Center’s Arts Excel program. Doug Prokop is supervisor.

High school staff members: Julie Mikulich, Jayde Faustino and Shannon Mulidore, all 16 and Liberty High School juniors, and Barbara Georgopoulos, 16, a student at Kennedy Catholic High School in Hermitage, Pa.

Volunteer assistants: Hunter Thomas, Dan Markulin, Anthony Georgopoulos, Quincy Harris and Dan Gregory.

Comments: Boehlke said staff members and assistants “learn leadership, patience and tolerance” in their roles supervising younger children. “We call the camp the great adventure,” she said for all participants. Staff members all voiced the idea that they liked helping kids and having fun with them.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays, through next Friday.
