Nurses at Forum Health Northside Hospital and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital have approved new contracts with Forum Health.

Eric Williams, Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association president, said nurses at Northside ratified a concessionary agreement late Wednesday.

Williams would not release the vote totals or any details about concessions in the agreement, but did say the total savings to Forum Health would be slightly more than $4.4 million.

He said the savings are in line with what Forum Health wanted.

“That [$4.4 million] is what was asked of the nurses by Forum in the bankruptcy, and we did slightly above what has been asked,” said Williams.

According to Williams, nurses at Hillside, who are represented by a separate union, also ratified a new pact with Forum Health, but he could not offer any details.
