No decision made after hearing for 11-year-old boy charged with killing his dad's fiancee
NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) — A hearing took place today on evidence against an 11-year-old Lawrence County boy accused of killing his father’s pregnant fiance.
The hearing took place after attorneys for the boy, Jordan Brown, filed papers asking for charges to be dismissed. No decisions were made at the hearing.
The attorneys argue evidence presented at a preliminary hearing in March do not link Jordan to the killings of 26-year-old Kenzie Marie Houk and her unborn son. Jordan has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Police say Brown shot Houk in the back of the head on Feb. 20 as she lay in her bed in their county farmhouse. They say Brown killed his father’s fiance with a youth hunting rifle he got for Christmas.
