Date announced for Brown-Slifka summer wedding

HUBBARD — Robert and Felicia Brown, 513 Meadowland Drive, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Deanna Marie Brown, and Joseph Daniel Slifka, both of 701 Summit Ave., Niles.

Parents of the future groom are Frederic and Yvonne Slifka, 62 Clifton Drive, Boardman, and Billy and Anna Marie Keel, 124 S. Salem-Warren Road, North Jackson.

Miss Brown graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is employed by Liberty School District as a high school English teacher.

Mr. Slifka is a teacher with Liberty School District. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from YSU and will graduate July 31 with a master’s degree in educational technology Integration from Nova Southeastern University.

Invitations will be extended for the wedding the couple have planned for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 1 at Church Hill United Methodist Church in Liberty, and for an evening reception at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles.
