• The listings for Independence Day events on B2 in Tuesday’s edition contained an error. The Plaza Parking deck on East Boardman Street will be closed during Saturday’s downtown fireworks show at the Covelli Centre.

• An article on Tuesday’s A1 was incorrect in stating World Extreme Cagefighting planned to strip fighter Jamie Varner of his lightweight title. A Sept. 2 WEC mixed-martial arts fight at the Covelli Centre will pit Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson for an interim lightweight title. The winner would face Varner in a unification fight, presuming Varner can return from injuries that have kept him out since January.
