United girls roll easily past Mineral Ridge

HANOVERTON — Ruth Prosko scored 18 points to lead the United High girls basketball team, which rolled past Mineral Ridge 67-35.

Chelsea Laughlin and Maggie Sell each added nine points for United (14-1, 8-1 Inter Tri-County League Tier One). Megan Ben scored nine for the Rams (2-10, 1-9).

McDonald 60, Wellsville 58

WELLSVILLE — The Blue Devils (10-4, 7-3 ITCL Tier Two) built a 45-35 lead by the end of the third quarter, then held off a big rally by the Tigers (4-10, 3-6).

Joh’Vonnie Mosley scored 19 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had two steals for McDonald. Lindsayh Repp added 18 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals and Taylor Stanley finished with 15 points.

Shawntae Diller and Mikyla Tipton led Wellsville with 16 and 13 points apiece.
