Girard man gets prison time for raping children

WARREN — William M. Cvetkovich, 67, of Hancock Street, Girard, has been sentenced to nine years in prison on two counts of rape and one of gross sexual imposition for attacks on children age 10 and 11.

The sentence was handed down by Judge John M. Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court after Cvetkovich pleaded guilty to the charges.

Cvetkovich was baby-sitting the two children at the time of the assaults, which occurred at his home during summer 2007.

Cvetkovich has been in Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond since his arrest in September 2007.
