YOUNGSTOWN — The wedding of Carla DeToro and Jason Collins, both of 51 Morris Ave., Girard, took place at 2:30 p.m. July 19 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown, with Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiating.

A reception took place at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center for guests to congratulate the daughter of Jim and Sue DeToro of 423 Forest Hill Drive, Austintown, and the son of Dave and Becky Collins, 1182 Beechwood, Girard.

The bride’s white A-line dress was adorned with sequins.

Rachel Blystone served as the bride’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bre Blystone, Kristin Southard, Cara DeToro, Danielle Johnson, Gina Sciortino, Rachel Sheller, Nikki Copenhaver and Anna Maiorca. Junior bridesmaid was Sandy Hornberger. Attendants wore black and white dresses. Aubree Neale participated as flower girl.

Ryan Collins was the best man, and groomsmen were Mike DeToro, Tom DeToro, Ryan Cole, Frank Caputo, Justin Kay, Greg Morgan, Greg Cook, and Walt Jones. Daniel Southard served as ring bearer, and Everett Noble was junior groomsman.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She teaches second grade at Stambaugh Academy.

The groom, also a YSU graduate with a bachelor’s in education, is a substitute teacher and football and basketball coach for Girard City Schools.
