WEDNESDAY

• The kitchen of American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and among the daily specials are: Today, wings from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, fish from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, cornhole game day from 1 to 5 with post closed for awards dinner from 6 to 9; and Super Bowl party begins at 6 p.m. Sunday. THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

• Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman Poland Road, Poland, will have takeout dinners available from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) Feb. 5. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

FRIDAY

• First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., Columbiana, will sell homemade chili for carryout from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $5.50 a quart. Three cornmeal muffins are $1, and a slice of pie is $1.25. Containers will be provided. To reserve an order, call the church, (330) 482-2666.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up until 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi. The cost for potato or potato with kraut pirogi is $5 a dozen. Orders will be taken from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot pirogi lunches will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

• Potato and cheese pirogi will be sold at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome, but no sales before 11 a.m. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• St. Joseph’s Knights of Columbus will sponsor a carryout or eat-in fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Social Hall, 4545 New Road, Austintown. Patrons will have a choice of baked or beer battered fish, french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, roll and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. • St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be by 1:00 p.m. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. • Liberty Boy Scout Troop 42 will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 3 p.m. at the fellowship hall of Churchill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill-Hubbard Road, Liberty Township. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Beginning at 11 a.m. carryout containers will be available. • Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve breakfasts of sausage and pancakes (all-you-can-eat pancakes), or biscuits and gravy, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children from 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free. The breakfasts will be available the first and third Sunday of each month through April.

• The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

TAKING ORDERS

• American Hungarian Club is taking orders for Hungarian hurka until Feb. 10. The cost is $3.25 a pound. There is a two-pound minimum order. Orders may be picked up from 3 to 6 p.m. Feb. 21 at the club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown. To place an order, call (330) 799-7008.
