Struthers announces open enrollment regulations

STRUTHERS — Open enrollment applications for Struthers City Schools for the 2009-2110 school year must be picked up in person at the Struthers Board of Education office, 99 Euclid Ave., between Feb. 23 and 27. Applications will not be mailed.

Completed applications must be returned in person to the board office beginning at 9 a.m. Feb. 24 and between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 25 through March 6, which is the deadline for completed applications. Incomplete applications or mailed applications will not be considered, said Schools Superintendent Robert A. Rostan.

Applicants will receive written notice of the school district’s enrollment decision by the first full week in April. No information will be given over the telephone.

Any student living in Ohio is eligible for open enrollment. However, the program is not open to students who would be attending the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center for the first time.
