Salem honor nominees

SALEM — The Salem Historical Society is seeking nominations for its 2009 Citizens of Honor awards.

The criterion is for Salem-connected citizens past or present who have distinguished themselves with service to their community, career or country.

The society intends to announce the addition of two more winners during the Founders’ Day program in April.

A person in any field can be considered for nomination, which includes community involvement and other activities.

Suggestions can be made to the Citizens of Honor committee, 208 S. Broadway Ave., by Feb. 16.

All nominations will be kept on file.
