AMERICAN GIRL FASHION SHOW | Benefit


Angels of Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties is hosting a fashion show and luncheon to raise funds for the organization. Some facts:

Fashion shows will be March 28-29 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

Nearly 300 girls from the area, as well as Cleveland, Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, are in the running to portray American Girl dolls in the show.

The organization hopes to raise $20,000 over the two days to benefit child and adult programs.

Co-chairwomen of the event are local residents Betty Cmil, Julie Costas, Denise York and Geri Kosar. Linda Welsh is show coordinator, and also helping is Debbie Liptak, Angels president.

Easter Seals has been helping people with special needs and disabilities and their families for more than 80 years. Angels of Easter Seals is a group of more than 100 women who help promote the welfare of Easter Seals in the area through volunteer services and fundraisers.

Corporate sponsors already on board for the fashion show include The Vindicator, DeBartolo Corp./John and Denise York, Akron Children’s Hospital, WFMJ and Hot 101.
