MINERAL RIDGE — Ruth McMonagle, founder and owner of Resource Management Associates, received the Distinguished Service in Training Award from the National Staff Development and Training Association. One award is given annually at the organization’s annual meeting. She also received the Linda Pope Training in Excellence Award for the state of Ohio last year and was named Trainer of the Year by the Regional Training Center in Akron in 2007.

LORDSTOWN — Charles Walsh of Greenville, Pa., was recognized by Con-Way Freight for driving one million miles without an accident. He operates out of the company’s Lordstown terminal and drives to Detroit. He logged the million accident-free miles from 1993 and 2008. The company has 1,250 drivers who have reached this achievement.
