In an effort to ensure that families in this area will not go hungry, First Place Bank contributed $2,500 to the Second Harvest Food Bank. The funds will enable the food bank to distribute more than $37,500 worth of food to the needy families. Dominique Stoeber, corporate executive vice president of retail banking with First Place Bank, is shown presenting the check to Michael Iberis, executive director of Second Harvest. In 2008 the food bank distributed over 6 million pounds of food to hunger relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, including church pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and shelters for battered women.
