Peer group helps troubled marriages

YOUNGSTOWN — The Retrouvaille Community of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will sponsor a weekend event Feb. 20-22 at the Avalon Inn. Retrouvaille (meaning rediscovery) can help you put the pieces back together in your marriage.

Retrouvaille is a peer group that teaches a new communication technique to hurting couples in various stages of misery and disillusionment. It is usually the last stop for couples who are contemplating divorce.

The program, which includes three married couples and a priest as the leadership team, also encompasses six follow-up sessions after that initial weekend.

Retrouvaille is a worldwide organization that is Catholic in scope but accepting of all faiths. It is nonprofit so it relies on donations from participating couples.

For more information on the program, call (800) 470-2230, log onto www.retrouvaille.org or send e-mail to 3035@retrouvaille.org.
