McGiffin-Thomas nuptial rite is set at Holy Family

POLAND — Tim and Lisa McGiffin, 3566 Hummingbird Hill Drive, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Krystina McGiffin, and Christopher Thomas.

Mr. Thomas is the son of John and Linda Blackwell of Sheffield Village and Michael Thomas of Lorain.

The bride-elect, of 2415 Overlook Road, and the prospective groom, of 2423 Overlook Road, both in Cleveland Heights, have planned to be married at 1:30 p.m. July 11 at Holy Family Church. A reception is to follow that evening at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman. Invitations will be extended for the wedding and reception.

Miss McGiffin is the communications coordinator for Nationwide Better Health in Solon. She is a graduate of John Carroll University in University Heights, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English.

Mr. Thomas is a social studies teacher and swim coach at Normandy High School of Parma City Schools. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history at Bowling Green State University and a master of education degree in administration at Cleveland State University.
