Menacing: The fifth- and sixth-grade principal at Canfield Middle School, 42 Wadsworth Street, reported to police that a parent entered a classroom at the school without knocking, or with prior arrangements or with a visitor’s pass. The parent took an aggressive tone with the teacher, who talked to the parent for 25 minutes. Later in the day, the same parent left a voice message on the classroom telephone saying: “You will be sorry.”
Drug abuse: Police issued a summons for a 16-year-old male student from North Jackson who reportedly was seen taking two 500-mg. Vicodin pills at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Underage consumption: Police arrested an 18-year-old Canfield girl for underage consumption and possession of alcohol and arrested 20-year-old Canfield woman for sale of liquor to an underage person in the 60 block of Lake Boulevard.
Jan. 16
Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 26-year-old Newell, W.Va., man for possession of a tan pipe with marijuana residue.

Jan. 12
Harassment: A woman reported being harassed at a home in the 3000 block of Diana Drive.
Theft: Unauthorized charges were made to the victim’s account at Belleria Pizza, 3460 S. Meridian Road.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made on a debit account at an apartment in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.
Jan. 13
Telecommunications harassment: A woman reported being harassed by telephone at a home in the 6000 block of Harvest Ridge Drive.
Criminal damaging: Tires were damaged by roofing nails thrown in the driveway at a home in the 5000 block of Boulder Creek Drive.
Theft: Unwanted charges totaling $1,331 were made to a debit account owned by a woman from the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane in the state of Indiana.
Theft: A .38-caliber revolver was stolen and a $20 bill was replaced by a counterfeit bill at a home in the 30 block of N. Main Street.
Theft: Contents of a purse were reported stolen at Infocision, 5749 Interstate Boulevard.
Misuse of credit card: Charges were made to a gas credit card at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, 4303 Mahoning Ave.
Telephone harassment: Unwanted phone calls were made to a home in the 100 block of Kleber Ave.
Theft: Two females were issued a summons for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: An HP laptop computer and $300 in cash, including $100 dollars in cash and $200 in coins were stolen from a home in the 5000 block London Drive.
Jan. 14
Theft: A man pumped $95 in diesel fuel into his vehicle and then went inside at Pilot Oil, 11650 N. Canfield-Niles Road, to pay for it on his company gas card. The invoice showed charges of $21.89 for an additional 51 gallons of fuel at $2.39 a gallon in gasoline.
Criminal damaging: A cell phone was broken at a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.
Theft: A 17-year-old female stole jewelry at Wal-Mart.
Jan. 15
Lost or stolen property: A cell phone was reported lost or stolen at the Babylon, 114 Javitt Court.
Burglary: A garage door to a home was kicked in, but because there was a large dog in the house, it is not believed that entry was gained in the 3000 block of Heritage Drive.
Criminal damaging: Two vehicle windows were shattered at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Theft: Two bottles of prescription pills were reported stolen at a home in the 3000 block of Arthur Street.
Recovered property: A man’s wallet was recovered at Marc’s, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man was arrested for theft of numerous candy bars at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 16
Theft: A trucker had his wallet stolen from the cab of his truck at Pilot Truck lot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A credit card was taken from a home in the 200 block of N. Beverly Avenue.
Drug offense: Four juveniles were arrested and released to their parents for possession of marijuana and unopened beer bottles at Idlewood Road and Stambaugh Ave.
Disorderly conduct: A man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at state Route 46 and Liberty Street.
Jan. 17
Theft: Personal checks were stolen and cashed at a home in the 2000 block of Ayrshire Drive.
Theft: $12.06 in gasoline was stolen at BP, 850 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Two women were observed stealing makeup and clothing at Wal-Mart.
Drug offense: A 17-year-old man was released to his parents after being arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia marijuana at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Obstructing official business: A man was charged with obstructing official business as he fled several Austintown police cars at S. Raccoon Road and Hillbrook Apartments.
Jan. 18
Criminal damaging: A man is accused of criminal damaging at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: $38.07 in fuel was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damaging: An overhead door was damaged at Austintown Beverage Center, 4903 Mahoning Ave.
Obstructing official business: A woman was arrested for obstructing official business and resisting arrest at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road.
