YOUNGSTOWN — During a recent meeting, the YMCA of Youngstown announced that Janice JanJanin has been named a new member of the executive board.

She replaces Herb Schuler Jr., a member of the board since 2001.

JanJanin started taking spinning classes at the Youngstown Central YMCA 11 years ago and decided to become a member. Since then she has been a loyal member of the organization and a vocal advocate for the spinning program.

In addition to serving as trustee, JanJanin will co-chair the 2009 Partner of Youth Campaign, which raises funds for economically disadvantaged children to enjoy the benefits of membership in the YMCA.

JanJanin is a financial adviser with Questar Capital Corp., a member of FINRA/SIPC, and serves on the board for Goodwill Industries, where she chairs the annual live auction fundraiser. She enjoys spinning classes, lifting weights, cycling, cooking and baking.
