Shot hits car windows
WARREN — A Youngstown woman reported that a man she knows fired a gun through the closed back windows of her car around noon Wednesday as she was driving at Tod Avenue and Fourth Street Southwest.
The man was on foot at the time, she said. No injuries were reported.
The man had told the father of the woman’s children on Tuesday that he intended to harm the two if he saw them in her vehicle, the woman told police.
Robbers take cash, Bible
YOUNGSTOWN — A man walking south on Oak Hill Avenue, just north of Princeton Avenue, was robbed of cash and his Bible, police said. The 53-year-old victim said a Chrysler Sebring stopped around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and two men with guns got out. The suspects took his wallet and a green leather bag that contained his Bible, reports show.
Financial aid for college
WARREN — A representative from the financial aid office at Kent State University Trumbull Campus will present a program at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Avenue N.W., for anyone planning to attend college.
The program will include what’s involved in applying for financial assistance; how soon to apply for aid; what types of student aid are available; and information needed for a financial aid application. The program is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
