Lisbon’s Jackson nets 30 points


LISBON — Mindy Jackson scored 30 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Thursday as the Lisbon High girls basketball team defeated East Palestine, 48-28.

Megan Reynolds contributed seven points and six assists for the Blue Devils (10-2, 6-2) Inter Tri-County League Tier One).

Bre Hull led the Bulldogs (2-0, 0-7) with 10 points. Kali George had seven points and five rebounds.

Crestview 48, Springfield 44

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Marissa Newbauer poured in 18 points to lead three Rebels (11-2, 6-1 ICTL1) in double figures.

Shanelle Davner added 11 points and Chelsea Bowker contributed 10 for the winners, who connected on seven 3-pointers. Hillary Phillis grabbed seven rebounds while Chelsea Bowker had seven assists, six steals and a blocked shot.

Rachael Kennedy and Ashley Davis had 11 points apiece for Springfield (5-8, 2-6). Davis had a team-high seven rebounds while Andria Lyons had three assists.

United 57, South Range 43

NORTH LIMA — The Golden Eagles’ (12-1, 6-1 ITCL1) defense held the Raiders (9-5, 4-4) to eight points in the first period, eight in the second and seven in the third. Maggie Sell scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Tab Stanton led South Range with nine points.

Columbiana 59, Mineral Ridge 39

MINERAL RIDGE — Kaylee Couchenour fired in 21 points and Ashley Shea chipped in with 15 for the Clippers (9-4, 5-2) in the Inter-Tri-County League Tie One contest. Megan Ben led the Rams (2-10, 1-7) with 10 points.

Lowellville 40, Wellsville 35

LOWELLVILLE — Ashley Moore scored 14 points and had three assists while Chelsea Marrie had 12 points to lead Lowellville, which remains unbeaten in the ITCL2.

Taylor Hvisdak added six rebounds and five points for the Rockets (10-3, 8-0 ITCL2).

Wellsville is 4-8, 3-4.

Sebring 47, Western Reserve 46

BERLIN CENTER — The Trojans (6-6, 3-4 ITCL2), trailing 35-30 at the end of the third quarter, rallied to outscore the Blue Devils (6-7, 5-2) 17-11 in the fourth quarter to win.

Taylor Nannah paced the Trojans with 14 points. Jill Bragg added nine and she grabbed six rebounds. Victoria Brown led the Blue Devils with 12 points and she pulled down seven rebounds. Colleen Kennehan and Melissa Burkey each had 10 points.

Leetonia 54, McDonald 51

LEETONIA — Lynsie Davis scored 18 points and made 10 rebounds for the Bears (6-6, ITCL2). Gina Jones scored 14 points and made three assists while Lauren Ketterman had 10 points and six rebounds.

For the Blue Devils (8-4, 5-3), Joh’Vonnie Mosley scored 19 points while Lindsay Repp netted 16. Joey Courtney sank three 3-pointers for nine points.

Southern 54, Jackson-Milton 49

NORTH JACKSON —The Indians (2-10, 2-5 ITCL2) built a 38-33 lead by the end of the third quarter. Maddy Dowling, Hannah Kelm and Ashley Russell paced Southern with 19, 11 and 10 points respectively.

Alyssa Chine and Jamie Braham led the Bluejays (0-13, 0-8) with 12 points apiece.
