Boardman High’s alumni association is revived

BOARDMAN — If you bleed Spartan maroon and want to reconnect with old classmates, there’s a new organization that can help.

The newly-revived Boardman High School Alumni Association is looking for Boardman alumni who want to be involved.

“It’s been about 18 months in the working,” said Cheryl (Cailor) Tarantino, association president.

A former alumni association was active until about five years ago, but went dormant when interest faded, members of the revived group said.

Tarantino saw a need to provide an avenue for alumni to reconnect with one another as well as a way to distribute information about goings-on in the district.

“We’re looking for help in three areas,” Tarantino, a 1982 graduate, said.
