ACTORS

“The Betty Ann Water Story,” movie (a Screen Actors Guild project) to be shot in Michigan. Auditions will be taped at Lemodeln, 7536 Market St., Boardman, and sent to casting director in Michigan. Parts needed: Caucasian female, age 30-50; any ethnicity male, age 30-40; Caucasian, age 25; Caucasian female, heavy set, age 20; sharp Caucasian female, age 40s. “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh. Auditions are at 10 a.m. Friday for children ages 8-12 accompanied by a parent. They should arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. to sign up. Auditions are limited to the first 150 registrants. Each child will be asked to sing 16 bars a cappella from one uptempo song of choice. MUSICIANS

Squires Warren Jr. Military Band. 2009 auditions and registration for current members and new applicants will be from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 31 at Boardman High School Band room next to the Performing Arts Center, use performers door 3 and from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at Academy of Arts & Humanities Auditorium, corner of Elm Road and High Street, Warren (park in rear and use side doors). Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello), substitute brass and percussion for the 2008-09 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 Thursdays at the Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus Auditorium in downtown Cleveland. Audition requirements are one solo piece and one orchestral excerpt of your choice.
