YSU to make its programs more affordable to western Pa. residents
WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. — There will be a news conference at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Radisson Hotel here to announce the Youngstown State University Western Pennsylvania Advantage.
The Western Pennsylvania Advantage is an initiative to make YSU, its programs and faculty more accessible and affordable to residents of western Pennsylvania.
YSU WPA drastically reduces the cost for western Pennsylvania residents to attend the university. The initiative applies to residents in these eight western Pennsylvania counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango.
YSU President David C. Sweet will host the news conference. YSU students from western Pennsylvania will be on hand to talk about the initiative. The hotel is located on state Route 18 at Exit 4B of Interstate 80.
