High-scoring Green Bay romps
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Reserve guard Brent Eaton scored a career-high 20 points, lifting Wisconsin-Green Bay to a 91-53 victory over Houston Baptist on Monday night.
He scored 11 of his 17 points in the opening 5:15 as Green Bay (14-5) jumped out to a 19-5 lead and never looked back.
Backup center Pat Nelson finished with a career-high 13 rebounds, while Ryan Tillema scored 15 points and Mike Schachtner added 13 for the Phoenix.
Andrew Puzyk led the Huskies (2-17) with 14 points. Baron Sauls added 11.
Providence 72, Cincinnati 63.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Randall Hanke scored 15 points on 7-for-7 shooting for Providence.
Hanke and center Jonathan Kale were the lone sure hands for the Friars (12-6, 4-2 Big East Conference), collectively shooting 12-for-13 from the field.
Cincinnati’s Mike Williams led the game with a career-high 21 points and seven rebounds for the Bearcats (12-7, 2-4).
