About biodiesel fuel

What is biodiesel? Biodiesel is an alternative fuel produced from renewable oilseed crops such as canola or soybean. Used vegetable oil and other fats are also used to make it.

How is it used? Biodiesel is used to power diesel engines as a pure fuel or by being blended with petroleum.

How is it made? Glycerin is removed from the vegetable oil by reacting with an alcohol through a process called transesterfication.
