Roberts is installed as Aut Mori monarch

YOUNGSTOWN — Robert A. Edwards, newly elected Monarch of Aut Mori Grotto, Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm, was installed during a ceremony Jan. 3 at the Youngstown Shrine Club.

Inducted as his associate officers were Jay Kocak, chief justice; Gary Lippert, master of ceremonies; Sean Craig, treasurer; Ron Craig, secretary; Jim Hoover, venerable prophet; Troy Magrini, orator; John Tyree, chaplain; Dave Powell, marshal; Sam Stambaugh, captain of the guard; and J.J. Losasso and Don Lambert, sentinels. Seated as members of the board of governors were Michael Vadas and Ed Ross.

Edwards is a member of the Argus Masonic Lodge 545 F&AM; an active member, known as “Who Me,” of the Aut Mori Grotto Clown Unit; and the Grotto Veterans Unit.

Edwards retired as a detective sergeant with the Youngstown Police Department and is serving as the secretary of the Youngstown Fraternal Order of Police. He and his wife, Sharon, live in Youngstown and have three children and four grandchildren.

The Grotto, an international organization of Master Masons, contributes to charities for cerebral palsy and dentistry for physically challenged children through age 17. The local chapter meets the first Wednesday of the month at the ITAM Club on Meridian Road.
