• Boardman South Chapter 4545 of AARP will meet at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at Holiday Inn South in Boardman. Elmer Haidle will preside. • Members of AARP 4611 will meet Wednesday at St. Augustine Church on Parmelee Avenue. An executive board meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the regular meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. On the agenda are installation of officers, plans for the 2009 calendar and collection of membership dues of $7 for this year. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a 50-50 drawing. New members are welcome.

• Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

GIRARD

• The Girard Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. January birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and 2009 membership dues will be collected. The program will be a short comical video, and dessert will be served.

HOLY NAME

• Holy Name Seniors will not meet in January. The next meeting will be Feb. 22, when $4 dues will be collected for 2009.

LOCAL 1199

• The meeting of Local 1199 retirees that had been scheduled for Tuesday is canceled. Meetings will resume next month.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Don Patchen will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation.
