Laura Coristin, Cliff Shimer plan April wedding

YOUNGSTOWN — Carla C. Coristin, of 6747 Bristlewood Drive, announces the engagement and plans for an April wedding of her daughter, Laura J. Coristin, of 8305 Narcoossee Road, Orlando, Fla., and Cliff Shimer, of 203 Lake Shore Parkway, Davenport, Fla.

Miss Coristin is also the daughter of the late Michael G. Coristin, and Mr. Shimer is the son of R. Tim Shimer of 39 Deerpath, Chalfont, Pa., and Linda Oswald, of 10016 48th Ave., St. Petersburg, Fla.

April 17 is the date the couple have chosen for their 4 p.m. wedding at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown and reception at The Georgetown in Boardman. Invitations will be extended for both.

The bride-elect is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame, Ind., with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She is a sixth-grade language arts teacher at The Ascension School in Melbourne, Fla.

The prospective groom is a graduate of West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He works as an account manager for Moulding & Millwork in Orlando.
