HUBBARD

Jan. 9

Drugs: A man was taken into custody in the 100 block of Hillcrest Avenue on one count of possession of drugs as well as other drug-related charges. He also was wanted on a warrant from Hermitage, Pa.

Breaking and entering: A Hubbard man faced a charge after a warrant was issued against him.

Jan. 10

Weapon: A Monticello Boulevard woman reported that her boyfriend was at her apartment with a handgun, though no one was injured.

Jan. 11

Domestic violence: An East Liberty Street man was charged after someone reported neighbors yelling at each other. The man received an injury, but no other information was in the report.

Jan. 12

Fraud: A Caroline Avenue woman reported receiving a call claiming she had won a $2.5 million lottery from Las Vegas, but that she would first have to send $150 to someone in Jamaica to receive her winnings.

Jan. 13

Theft: A Hubbard woman told police a few juveniles stole her keys at a business in the 400 block of West Liberty Street.

Jan. 9

Identity fraud: An Anderson-Morris Road woman reported that when she applied for a mortgage, she learned someone had used her identity to apply for and get 12 separate mortgages. The woman’s bank said it was unable to secure a loan for her, a report said.

Drug paraphernalia: A Hubbard woman, 26, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after being pulled over on Liberty Street. A suspected crack pipe was found, police said.

Auto theft: A Trumbull Court man reported the theft of his 1992 Ford Explorer.

Jan. 10

Domestic violence: A 40-year-old Girard man faced a charge after authorities got a 911 call about a possible situation at a township residence. A 12-year-old girl alleged that the man had slammed her head against a wall and struck her in the face several times, causing a bloody and swollen lip.

Robbery: A Youngstown man told police several people he was riding with near Logan Gate Road robbed him of $33 before pushing him out of the vehicle.

Aggravated menacing: A Monticello Boulevard woman reported that her 26-year-old boyfriend pulled a 9 mm firearm before leaving in a white Pontiac Grand Am.

Theft: A motorist pumped and failed to pay for $15 worth of gasoline before leaving a Unimart station, 2703 Belmont Ave.

Theft/criminal damaging: A Mansell Drive man noticed someone had broken into his car before removing two 10-inch TV monitors, a 10-inch flip-down DVD screen and a 7-inch TV.

Drugs: A traffic stop on state Route 193 resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old Youngstown woman. She was charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments when, police said, a tin box with two suspected crack pipes was recovered.

Jan. 11

Theft: A Northview Drive woman accused her boyfriend of taking the keys to her two vehicles.

Jan. 12

Menacing: A Logan Arms Drive man alleged that his mother-in-law made 10 to 12 unwanted phone calls that contained several threats.

Recovered property: A lost or stolen license plate was found in the 3300 block of Belmont Avenue.

Drugs: After stopping a car on Belmont Avenue, officers charged a Youngstown woman, 21, with drug abuse and possession of criminal tools after saying two suspected marijuana cigarettes and a digital scale with suspected marijuana residue were found.

Jan. 13

Drugs/weapon: A traffic stop on state Route 193 led to felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and trafficking in marijuana against a 47-year-old Youngstown man. A vehicle search revealed a .22-caliber revolver as well as a bag with a number of live rounds; also found were about 28 grams of suspected marijuana and 110 bags for packaging, a report said.

Breaking and entering: Police discovered that a rock had been used to break a front window at Jenson Lock & Alarm, 3075 Belmont Ave., though nothing appeared to be missing.

GIRARD

Jan. 11

Aggravated menacing: An Iowa Avenue woman said her former husband called, threatening to beat up the accuser and her boyfriend.

Theft: A clerk at a Shell True North station, 420 S. State St., reported that after a 57-year-old Youngstown man’s credit card had been declined, he refused to pay for $19.25 worth of gasoline. The debt was later settled, however.

Jan. 13

Menacing: An East Prospect Street man told officers his former girlfriend continually made unwanted phone calls, threatening on several occasions to slash his tires.

Criminal mischief: A Lawrence Avenue woman found a shattered driver’s-side window on her car.
