Youngstown schools closed Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — All city schools will be closed Friday in anticipation of subfreezing temperatures.

Wind chills are expected to be minus 20 degrees, too cold for elementary school children to be standing outside, a district spokesman said.

The district will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and reopen on Tuesday.
