NILES — Anne Patricia Bailey became the bride of Michael Joseph Knapke in a 2:30 p.m. ceremony Oct. 4 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The groom’s uncle, the Rev. Ken Pleiman, officiated, and a reception followed at Leo’s Ristorante in Warren.
After a honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico, the couple live in Hilliard.
The bride’s sister, Mary Pappada, served as matron of honor, and Megan Herman was maid of honor. Rachel Barendt, a niece of the groom, was a junior bridesmaid, and bridesmaids were Cathy Barendt and Sandra Leininger, sisters of the groom; Mauri Razzano; and Christina Hauenstein.
Flower girls were Ayla Danes, a cousin of the bride, and Natalie and Sarah Barendt and Grace Leininger, nieces of the groom.
The groom’s brother, Brian Knapke, was best-man, and groomsmen were Darrell Bellert, Peter Vasaulakasis, Jeff Franz and Mark Robertson.
The bride, a daughter of Ray and Cindy Bailey of Niles, graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree. She is a program researcher of the comprehensive transplant center of The OSU Medical Center Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.
The groom, a son of Donald Knapke of Dayton and the late Marjorie Knapke, graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is a project engineer for Guild Associates in Dublin.
