WGH girls win by 16

WARREN — Warren Harding (8-2) had a strong start and stayed in control the rest of the way in winning its fourth straight game, 49-33 over Beaver Local on Tuesday.

Kourtney Williams had 12 points for Harding, which last lost to Maple Heights on Dec. 17.

Harding had to contend with a zone defense shown by Beaver Local, which came within nine points in the third quarter.

Macy Weber had five of her game-high 15 points in the second quarter for the Beavers (7-5).
