Range romps at Ridge behind Seaver, Mihan


McDonald was forced into overtime before emerging unscathed at 10-0.

MINERAL RIDGE — Kyle Seaver scored 20 points and Joe Mihan added 17 to lead South Range High to a 65-44 victory over Mineral Ridge in an Inter Tri-County League Tier One game Tuesday night.

The Raiders (3-6, 2-4) jumped out to a 20-3 lead after one quarter and 32-20 at halftime.

Justin Lasher scored 12 points for the Rams (1-8, 1-5) and Cody Graham added 11.

McDonald 65, Western Reserve 60, OT

BERLIN CENTER — McDonald (10-0, 6-0) had to go into overtime as it outscored Western Reserve 14-9 to stay unbeaten in the ITCL Tier Two contest.

Adrian Tillery and Mathias scored 16 points apiece and Lance Ronghi finished with 22.

Justin Lude made a driving layup for Western Reserve (5-4, 3-3) to send it into overtime. He scored 19 points, while Randall Ludwiczak added 12 and Matt Hubbs 10.

Leetonia 80, Southern 67

LEETONIA — The Bears (6-4, 4-2) rolled to a 39-23 halftime lead and the Indians (5-5, 2-4) couldn’t make up the difference in the ITCL Tier Two game.

Josh Selway and Andrew Trummer scored 24 and 20 points respectively for Leetonia, while Michael Dowling added 19 and Nick Altomare 10. Trummer pulled down 20 rebounds and blocked five shots. Selway had six steals and six assists.

Andrew Diaz, Jake Boyle, Ethan Blatch and Trey Griffith scored 21, 12, 10 and 10 points, respectively, for Southern.

Wellsville 93, Jackson-Milton 83

NORTH JACKSON —Mike Johnston scored 24 points and Wellsville took a 26-16 lead after one quarter to grab control.

Jalen DeSarro had 16 points for the Tigers (7-2, 4-2 ITCL), while Nick Dalrymple had 13, Nunzio Lombardozzi and Markus Allison each scored 12 and DeShon Pullie 11.

Sophomore Jacob Carlile poured in 26 points, including six 3-pointers, and his older brother Ben added 23 to lead the Bluejays (0-9, 0-6). Bobby Schnellenbach added 15.

Lowellville 62, Sebring 49

LOWELLVILLE — Mike Basista scored 16 points and Anthony Schiraldi 14 — all in the second half — to lead Lowellville, which broke away from a 27-23 halftime lead.

Pat Minnie added 10 points for the Rockets (6-3, 3-3 Tier Two).

Devin Weekly hit 16 points, including three 3-point goals, to lead Sebring (5-4, 2-4), while Aaron VanKirk added 13 points and Travis Irwin 12.
