Pesta has 32 for BHS


HUDSON — Boardman High went on a 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter and the Spartans proceeded to defeat Hudson, 77-73, in a boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Ryan Pesta, a 6-foot-3 senior forward, scored a career-high 32 points for the Spartans (3-7), five of them during the 10-0 run. He also connected on six 3-point goals.

Jordan Karzmer added 12 points.

Richie Piekarski led the Explorers (5-2) with 30 points. Bobby Tyler added 19.

Other games

Crestwood defeated Southeast, 69-54, and East Liverpool defeated Brooke (W. Va.), 73-59. Details of these games were not reported.
