Woman indicted on 2 abduction counts
STAFF REPORT
WARREN — The Trumbull County grand jury indicted Michelle Enderton, the Warren woman charged with getting into the back seat of a car containing two teenage boys in Warren and forcing the driver to drive her around, on two counts of abduction.
Enderton, 35, of Kenmore Avenue Northeast, could get up to five years in prison on each count if convicted.
The boys, brothers ages 14 and 16, told police the woman got in the car at the corner of West Market Street and Tod Avenue Southwest about 6 p.m. Nov. 15, offered them sex and insinuated that she was armed with a weapon.
The driver made his way to his own house, where he stopped the car, and the boys fled to their house, where family members pursued the woman on foot and helped police find her.
Police officers also located a suspected glass crack pipe in her purse, they said, which led to her indictment on a misdemeanor charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
She will be arraigned at 11 a.m. Friday before Judge Peter Kontos in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
