AUSTINTOWN
Jan. 5
Harassment: A North Jackson man reported that harassing notes had been left for him over the period of a year in several Mahoning Avenue stores from a woman who signs her initials to the notes.
Recovered property: A resident of the 100 block of South Yorkshire Boulevard reported that numerous items were stacked up in his driveway that did not belong to him. The items included a Budweiser cooler with a duffel bag inside, three portable folding chairs with a carrying case, an electric scooter, a Coleman road trip portable grill, a traveling picnic table in a case with an umbrella, a char-broiled gas grill, a red wagon and a crowbar. They were taken to the police station and tagged.
Burglary: Money was taken from a home in the 200 block of Idlewood Road.
Vandalism: Damage was reported to an elevator at Fairfield Inn, 801 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Breaking and entering: Lawn tools were taken from a shed and recovered in the neighbor’s yard at a home in the 300 block of South Yorkshire.
Breaking and entering: A home was broken into but nothing was reported missing in the 100 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: A resident of the 6000 block of South Timberidge Drive reported that three checks had been taken from his checking account and his Sears MasterCard. One check was cashed for $150, and an attempt was made to cash a second check for $150. The victim placed a hold on his banking account.
Drug abuse: Police arrested an Austintown woman on drug charges including possession of drug instruments and drug paraphernalia after an arrest at state Route 11 and Mahoning Avenue.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a checking account of a homeowner in the 5000 block of Boulder Creek.
Harassment: A woman is a suspect in a case of harassment at an apartment in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue.

Lost or stolen property: Three dealer plates were reported missing at Ron Haus Auto Group, 4375 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A front door was kicked in, and heaters and a VCR were taken from a vacant home in the 40 block of Rosemont Avenue.
Theft: Prescriptions and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 100 block of DeHoff Drive.
Theft: Checks were stolen and then forged at On Demand Home Medical, 5211 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A credit card was stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Crum Road.

Theft: A laptop and the victim’s wallet were stolen from an auto at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Telecommunications harassment: A woman is accused of harassment at a home in the 2000 block of Redgate Lane.
Criminal damaging: A room was damaged at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.

Drug offense: Two Youngstown men were arrested on charges of drug abuse of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at Interstate 80 and state Route 46.
Theft: Thirty to 40 Percocet pills were reported stolen by a home health aide at an apartment in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A man was arrested in the theft of three packs of Gillette Fusion power razor heads totaling $80.97 at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 9
Recovered property: A men’s 18-speed bicycle was recovered at South Raccoon Road and Falcon Drive.
Theft: Diesel fuel and an aluminum hand cart were stolen from a vehicle on an empty lot on Clarkins Drive.
Theft: A Sony CD player and prescription medication were stolen from an auto at a home in the 100 block of Fair Meadow Drive.
Burglary: Mint-condition collector’s coins were stolen from an apartment in Joseph Knights Tower, 107 Westchester Drive.
Assault: A man was assaulted at The Manor, 3104 S. Niles-Canfield Road.
Jan. 10
Theft: A wallet was stolen while the driver slept in an auto at Pilot, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Telecommunication harassment: A woman is a suspect in harassment at a home in the 3000 block of Dunbar Street.
Theft: An undetermined amount of coins were taken from a home in the 5000 block of West Rockwell Road.
Theft: A checkbook was taken from an apartment in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Burglary: A man and woman are suspects in a burglary at an apartment in the 3000 block of Canfield Road.
Criminal damaging: A window and screen were damaged at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Jan. 11
Burglary: Prescriptions, money and money orders were taken from a home in the 300 block of Bentwillow Drive.
Telephone harassment: A woman was a victim of telephone harassment at a home in the 20 block of Placid Boulevard.
Theft: Two New Jersey plates were stolen from an auto parked at Ryder Truck Rental, 650 N. Meridian Road.
CANFIELD
Jan. 4
Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen at a home in the 70 block of Stratford Green where the door had been left unlocked when the owner left. Missing are: a gold ring with a half-carat diamond surrounded by emeralds, a gold ring with a round emerald stone, a half-carat diamond pendant on a gold chain, silver earrings and a gold pearl ring.
Jan. 5
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 24-year-old North Benton man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at West Main Street and Palmyra Road. Police found suspected rolling papers and 5 milligrams of suspected marijuana and a suspected half-smoken marijuana cigarette in a small bag.
Theft: A woman reported at the police station that her wedding ring had been stolen.
Jan. 6
Identity theft: A woman requested a report on identity theft at the police station, saying her credit/debit card had been used.
Harassing phone calls: A man from the 60 block of Sawmill Run Road reported receiving two to four calls at his home for about a month, and when he answered the phone no one was on the line.
Possible attempted theft: A resident of the 300 block of Hilltop Boulevard reported receiving four unwanted phone calls at his home, two of which were picked up by the answering machine, and two others that he answered. A party informed him he was being sent a cream that could be used to pass a drug test and was also good for his complexion, and his bank account would be debited $87. The man told the caller he did not order anything and he did not want the merchandise.
