State police in New Castle continue search for woman bank robber


NEW CASTLE, Pa. — State Police here continue investigating a weekend bank robbery at First Merit Bank in Union Township.

Police said a masked woman entered the bank at 10:23 a.m. Saturday and said she had a gun.

She left the bank with an undetermined amount of money that had a dye pack in it.

The dye pack exploded as she was leaving the building. Police said it’s likely she was hurt in the explosion. Police said a man drove her away.
