‘Smoky Hollow Memories’
YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Historical Center will present a children’s history program titled “Smoky Hollow Memories” from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at 151 W. Wood St.
Children will participate in short plays, examine examples of cast iron kitchen items from the 18th century, explore coal mining and related objects, and view a steel mill locker room along with other iron and steel artifacts.
The children’s history program is for ages 8-12. The fee is $10 for Ohio Historical Society members and $12 for all others. Advance registration is required. Call (330) 743-5934.
Computer courses
YOUNGSTOWN — Warriors Inc. has added another class to its list of six-week beginners computer training courses. They start Jan. 27 at the Hope Building, 2733 Market St.
The classes will run every Tuesday three times a day. Class times: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 5 to 6:30 p.m.; and 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Participants will learn how to navigate through Microsoft Word and learn other basic skills.
Also in the works is a free six-week workshop dedicated to money management for women that will start Feb. 3.
The workshop will be every Tuesday at 6 p.m. and will focus on topics including budgeting and credit, identity theft, investments and homeownership, women in entrepreneurship as well as other related subjects.

Diversity breakfast
YOUNGSTOWN — The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Jan. 22 in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.
The keynote speaker is the Rev. Dr. Otis Moss Jr., who retired Dec. 31 as pastor of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Cleveland.
