Wawerek-Lodge wedding to be at Florida beach

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Plans for the upcoming marriage of Sarah Wawerek and Thomas Lodge, both of 1401 S.W. 82nd Ave., Plantation, Fla., are being announced by her parents, John and Cherri Wawerek, 16294 N.W. 17th Court.

The future groom is a son of Thomas and Karen Lodge, 6141 Celesta Place, Poland.

The couple will be married during a 3 p.m. ceremony Feb. 21 on Deerfield Beach Boardwalk in Florida. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for an evening reception at The Westin Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The bride-elect, a kindergarten teacher at Eagle Point Elementary School in Weston, Fla., graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Fort Lauderdale with a bachelor’s degree in education.

The prospective groom earned a bachelor’s degree in geography at Youngstown State University and a master’s in city planning at Ohio State University. He is a city planner with the City of Fort Lauderdale.
