BOARDMAN — CBOSS Inc., a provider of software solutions and services for e-commerce, payment processing and Web portal solutions, has renewed its certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. PCI-DSS is a certification program initiated by the four major credit card companies to establish and help ensure the highest level of security standards for companies that process credit card data. CBOSS’ compliance is classified as a Level I Service Provider which means that, as a service provider, CBOSS processes more than 300,000 transactions annually.
SHARON, Pa. — Dr. Ashraf Osman, a cardiothoracic surgeon at Sharon Regional Health System, was named a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons during convocation ceremonies at the College’s 94th annual Clinical Conference that took place recently in San Francisco. Dr. Osman has earned board certification in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery.
AUSTINTOWN — Randi Baun, foundation director for Shepherd’s Foundation, has been granted the Certified Fund Raising Executive designation by CFR International. Candidates must pass a written test and meet other requirements. Shepherd’s Foundation is the fund-raising arm of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services.
STRUTHERS — Daniel Becker and his daughter, Kelly Becker, have qualified for recertification of the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Daniel Becker is a lifetime member and serves as an ambassador for the academy. He and his daughter are part of Becker Funeral Homes, which has facilities in Struthers, Poland and Lowellville.
