CALIFORNIA, Pa. — Senior Lindsay Johnson (Springfield) scored a career-high 40 points and surpassed 1,000 for her career in No. 8 California’s easy win. Johnson was 14-of-21 from the field, including 6-for-8 on 3-pointers, and added six rebounds, five assists and two steals for the Vulcans (10-2). She became the 22nd player in school history to reach 1,000 career points.
Millersville 60, Slippery Rock 48
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — The Rock led 29-28 at halftime but went cold from the field after the intermission. Julie Molloy led Slippery Rock (5-7) with 10 points. Jess Schake added six points and seven rebounds.
Geneva 75, Waynesburg 60
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — Geneva capped a 3-0 week as Alyssa Miller and Christine Carugati both scored 19 points. Rachel Berry added 10 points for the Golden Tornadoes (7-5). Elisa Jones had 15 points for Waynesburg (4-8), which has lost four straight. Callie White added 10 points.
Grove City 64, Bethany 60
BETHANY, W. Va — Megan Gebrosky scored 16 points for Grove City (5-8, 2-3 PAC), which played just six players. Raeann Szelong and Christine Slater added 14 points each, while Krista Beechy finished with 11 points and nine rebounds. Kelly Goode scored 15 points for Bethany (4-9, 0-4), while Renee Brandenburg scored 11 and Stacy Goode had 10.
Saint Vincent 65, Thiel 52
GREENVILLE, Pa. — Jena Cook scored 13 points but Thiel was hurt by 30 turnovers. Amber Bodrick (Mooney) added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Ashley Davis finished with 10 points. For Saint Vincent Emily Fenton led with 15 points and six assists. Maura Wahl led all scorers with 19 points.
Mount Union 88, Wilmington 74
ALLIANCE — Amanda Rose scored 21 points and Tesse Pohovey added 16 for the Purple Raiders (9-3, 4-2), who led 46-32 at halftime. Kori Wiedt scored 12 points for Mount Union, while Stephanie Schwartz finished with 10. Kortney Kin of Wilmington (10-3, 4-3) led all scorers with 34 points, and she added 11 rebounds. Claire Brown added 11 points.
Ohio Wesleyan 72, Allegheny 56
DELAWARE, Ohio — Katie Hamilton scored 19 points and Pam Quigney added 16 for the Bishops (8-6, 4-2 North Coast Athletic Conference). Kayla Gordon scored 15 points and Tyler Cordell finished with 10. Jill Gregory led Allegheny (6-8, 2-3) with 17 points, while Lauren Donahoe scored 10.

CANTON — Malone shot 55 percent from the field in the first half to shoot out to a 42-23 lead. Katie Murphy scored 17 points for the Pioneers (4-9, 1-1 American Mideast Conference), while Allyson Wilson added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Speichler scored 12 points and Amy Kittle finished with 11. Deidra Brown led Wilberforce (5-10, 0-2) with 14 points.

Bethany 76, Grove City 72
BETHANY, W. Va. — Joe Testa and Lance Beckwith scored 15 points apiece and the Bison held off a second-half comeback by Grove City. Tyler Morando added 13 points for Bethany (8-6, 3-1 Presidents’ Athletic Conference), which led 42-28 at halftime. Testa and Ryan McFadden had eight rebounds apiece and Dakota Matz had six assists. For Grove City (7-5, 2-2), Ryan Gibson scored 22 points. Joe McCoy added 16 points, while Andy O’Keefe and Cody Fleeger finished with 10 apiece. John Scheller had nine points and eight rebounds.
Saint Vincent 80, Thiel 50
GREENVILLE, Pa. — Sean Devinney scored 15 points for Thiel (1-12), which was hurt by turnovers and Saint Vincent’s transition game. Nick Sefscik added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Tomcats. Saint Vincent (12-2), which scored 25 points off Thiel miscues, was led by Billy Bains with 23 points.
Wilmington 79, Mount Union 76
(WILMINGTON — Mount Union shot almost 57 percent from the floor but could not overcome 22 turnovers. Dave Pellerite finished with a game-high 26 points and Chris Switzer had 19 points for the Purple Raiders (9-5, 3-4) Ohio Athletic Conference). Justin Gaines led Wilmington (10-4, 6-1) with 19 points. Tyler Ledford added 16, Kevin Colson scored 12 and R.J. Brown, whose basket with 48 seconds remaining gave Wilmington a 77-76 lead, finished with 11.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Denell Stephens had his eighth double-double of the season for Slippery Rock, finishing with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Kyle Camper added 13 points and Erroll Robinson scored 10 for The Rock (8-4). Millersville is 6-6.
Malone 66, Wilberforce 65
CANTON — Jeremy Duerr scored with four seconds remaining to give the Pioneers (5-12, 1-0 AMC) the win. Taurean Dailey led Malone with 17 points and Duerr finished with 10. Brian Butler scored 17 points to lead Wilberforce (9-8, 1-1).
