White hits game winner for Blue Devils

BERLIN CENTER — Zach White hit the game winning shot with 3.2 seconds remaining Friday to lift the Western Reserve High boys basketball team to a 53-52 win over Leetonia.

Justin Lude led the Blue Devils (5-3, 3-2 Inter Tri-County League Tier Two) with 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while White finished with 12 points and Jake Barker added eight rebounds.

Josh Selway paced Leetonia (5-4, 3-2) with 23 points and Andrew Trimmer added 12.

Wellsville 69, Southern 47

WELLSVILLE — Jeremy Carter hit for 21 points to key a balanced attack for Wellsville.

Deshon Pullie chipped in with 16 points while Nunzio Lombardozzi and Mike Johnson had 10 apiece to reinforce the Tigers (6-2, 3-2 ITCL2).

Andrew Diaz had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Eric Baker 10 points for Southern (5-4, 2-3 ITCL2).

Columbiana 69, Crestview 67

COLUMBIANA — Tyler Denmeade scored six of his 12 points in the fourth quarter as Columbiana outscored Crestview 18-12 in the final frame to rally for the win.

Kevin Blinsky had 18 points, Travis Denmeade had 14 points, seven rebounds and six steals and Trenton Hatherill added 13 points for the Clippers (6-2, 4-1 ITCL Tier One).

Jakob Leon scored 19 points to lead four Rebels (5-5, 2-3) in double figures.

Springfield 73, South Range 48

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Jimmy Zubic scored 19 points and made six assists for the Tigers (4-4, 3-2 ITCL1), Joe Musial scored 14 points and made eight rebounds while Todd Kibby scored 10 points and contributed five assists and four caroms.

For the Raiders (2-6, 1-4), Joe Mihlan scored 22 points and made three steals while Jack Dawson scored 13 points and made six rebounds.
