Newton Falls coasts past LaBrae, 75-42
NEWTON FALLS — The Newton Falls High boys basketball team rolled to a 37-15 halftime lead en route to a 75-42 victory over LaBrae in an All-American Conference Blue Tier game on Friday.
Todd Medallis scored a game high 24 points, while Marcus Fowler had 16 points, 11 rebounds and blocked 10 shots, and Brian Sole scored 16 for the Tigers (10-1, 2-0).
Cameron Truss led LaBrae (6-3, 1-1) with 13 points.
Struthers 71, Niles 51
STRUTHERS — The Wildcats (4-5) outscored the Red Dragons (3-6) 37-24 in the second half.
Nick Jacubec paced Struthers with 16 points. Nate Jacubec and Matt Durkin added 16 and 10 apiece.
Ryan Frantz scored a game-high 20 points for Niles.
Champion 59, Brookfield 38
CHAMPION — The Golden Flashes’ (3-6, 1-1) defense held the Warriors (1-7, 0-1) to three points in the first quarter and eight in the third as they took a commanding 42-29 lead.
Derek Sumner scored 12 points and David Barnes finished with 10.
Greg Hunkus paced Brookfield with eight points.

LISBON — William Blair and Tashawn Letlow each scored 11 points for the Leopards (4-5.
