Salem contemplating declaring a snow emergency

SALEM — Salem officials are asking motorists to be aware that a snow emergency is likely to be declared this weekend. If so, parking would not be allowed on any city street until further notice, said Steve Andres, the director of public service and safety. He said that a snow emergency would be declared if there were four or more inches of snow.
