More Air Force reservists deployed overseas today

VIENNA — Ashley Noday, 21, of East Liverpool said she didn’t get much sleep Thursday night because she was anxious about being deployed to Southwest Asia for about 120 days.

This is Noday’s second time being deployed with fellow Air Force Reservists from the 910th Airlift Wing.

“I know most of the people I’m going with,” said Noday, who is in charge of “life saving” equipment on airplanes.

About 85 Air Force Reservists, including Noday, boarded planes around 10 a.m. today, bound for their duty station in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

The reservists will be assigned to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing and their primary mission will be to deliver personnel and cargo.
